Prof. Mary Ndung’u Principal, KyU has on Monday March 30, 2015 received a Germany research expert Dr. Daniela Kneissl, Head of Research for Africa and Middle East at Alexander Von-Humboldt Foundation of Germany.
Dr. Kneissl had come to deliver a presentation to KyU Faculty on “Research Funding Opportunities at Alexander Von-Humboldt Foundation of Germany”. With Principal is Prof. Charles O. A. Omwandho, Deputy Principal ARSA.
Faculty at KyU received on Monday March 30, 2015 a presentation from Dr. Daniela Kneissl, the Head of Division of Research for Africa and Middle East at Alexander von-HumboldtFoundation of Germany(AVH).
The interactive presentation, delivered at 11.30 am in the University Boardroom centred on “Research Funding Opportunities from Alexander von-Humboldt Foundationof Germany”. It is expected that our faculty will henceforth focus on attracting research grants from AVH.
KyU hosted on Sunday March 22, 2015 the first ever Kirinyaga County Chess Championship.
KyU bagged two medals through Kamau Isaac Kinyanjui and NyawiraPricilla at the event that had participants from Kirinyaga University, Strathmore University, Dedan Kimathi University, Kagumo Youth Chess Club, Kabare Girls, Kerugoya Girls, Kiaragana Girls, St. Marys Boys Nyeri, Baricho High School, Kagio Secondary School, Kiambu High School, Karia Boys High School, Effort Junior School, St. Agnes Girls Secondary School and Nyeri Hill Stead School.The event was graced by Mr. Githinji Hinga – Chess Kenya Chairman, Mr. Joseph Atwoli – Chess Kenya Secretary and Mr. Njenga – Assistant County Sport Director, Kirinyaga County.
Officials from Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) on Wednesday March 18, 2015 paid a courtesy call to Prof. Charles O. A. Omwandho, Deputy Principal ARSA.
The officials accompanied by Mr. Jackson Maina, CoD School of Business were Messrs David Kariuki and Robert Muna of Research and ICT divisions respectively and Ms Egrah Masese of Marketing division at KASNEB.
