Kirinyaga University successfully hosted its 6th Annual Mathematics, Robotics Contest and Career Day on Saturday, March 7, 2026, bringing together bright young minds from various high schools. The event provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their academic abilities, creativity and innovation in the fields of mathematics and robotics. During the event, visiting high school students enthusiastically participated in mathematics contests and robotics competitions, demonstrating impressive problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and technological creativity. The competitions challenged participants to apply classroom knowledge to practical situations, encouraging teamwork and innovative solutions.
Outstanding participants were recognized and rewarded with trophies and certificates in appreciation of their remarkable achievements. The awards ceremony celebrated the dedication and talent of the students while motivating them to continue pursuing excellence in science and technology.
Beyond the competitions, the event also featured career guidance sessions where students received valuable insights on academic choices and professional opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. As part of the experience, the visiting students were given an opportunity to tour Kirinyaga University’s workshops and laboratories. This allowed them to gain first-hand exposure to the university’s practical learning environment, modern facilities, and hands-on training approach that supports innovation and research.
