Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing ICT policies, strategies, regulations, standards and procedures
  • Repairing Information Communication Technology equipment and associated peripherals
  • Configuring and testing computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
  • Installing necessary hardware and software upgrades into ICT network
  • Implementing framework and formats to standardise digitisation of University’s records and procedures
  • Creating new users in the Active Directory following laid out policies
  • Implementing digital solutions, such as automation tools, cloud services, and data analytics
  • Implementing flexible IT strategies for facilitation of deployment and scaling of the services of the University
  • Implementing LANS and WAN to ensure uninterrupted connectivity to University’s systems and online resources
  • Updating the University’s website and other customer facing systems
  • Implementing ICT business disaster recovery strategy
  • Implementing Security Systems to secure the University’s ICT Assets and systems
  • Providing technical support services, guidance and training to computer users on University ICT systems
  • Keeping up to date with emerging information communication technological trends
