Kirinyaga University, through the School of Business and Education lead by the Dean Dr. David Njoroge, hosted a delegation from Tharaka University for a Teaching Practice Benchmarking engagement aimed at strengthening teacher preparation and enhancing the quality of education at Tharaka University. The benchmarking visit provided an opportunity for the two universities to exchange experiences, share best practices, and explore effective approaches to teaching practice and pedagogical development.
The engagement focused on strengthening teaching practice processes and promoting approaches that equip future educators with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to effectively respond to the evolving needs of teacher training in Kenya. The visit underscored the importance of inter-university collaboration and knowledge exchange in advancing innovation in training and excellence in teacher education.
