Kirinyaga University shines, beats Kenyan Universities to emerge position 1 overall at the Kenya National Film festivals 2022 held at Tafaria Castle Nyeri on June 26 – July 3, 2022.   The University achieved;

  • Best actress in leading role - Samantha - Bloodless
  • Best actor in leading role - Aaron - bloodless
  • Best actress in supporting role -Mama Samantha - ALICE MASHA
  • Best actor in supporting role - Baba Samantha – Prof. Charles Omwandho – Kirinyaga University
  • Best Screen verse original - Kirinyaga University
  • Best Director and Producer - Stephen Malala - bloodless - Kirinyaga University
  • Best Executive Producer - Prof. Mary Ndung’u - Bloodless - Kirinyaga University
