Dr. Kennedy Malanga, a faculty in the School of Pure and Applied Sciences was invited by Thomas More University to attend its 19th International Day event on March 18-22, 2024. The theme for the event was “Democracy of Democrazy, navigating the impact of AI on society”. He gave a lecture on Application Development and AI on society to second year Bachelor of Applied Computer Science students and participated in a hackathon on the Design Thinking Methodology.
On behalf of the entire KyU fraternity, the Office of the Vice Chancellor and that of Deputy Vice Chancellor ARSA express the University’s appreciation of Dr. Malanga’s achievement and congratulate him for representing Kirinyaga University in this important event.

KyU teams that participated in League 5B comprised Hockey Women (position 4), Basketball Men (position 7), Karate Women (position 3), Karate Men (position 4), Taekwondo Men (position 3) and Taekwondo women (position 4).
League 4B teams comprised Pool table women (position 1), Pool table Men (position 8), Hockey men (position 4), Basketball women (position 7) and Baseball 5 (position 1).
